Good design doesn't start with a brief, it starts with a question. What are we really trying to say? Who are we saying it to? And how do we make them feel something? I work across concept, brand, graphic, web, space, and merch to turn ideas into experiences that are hard to ignore and even harder to forget. Whatever the medium, the thinking always comes first.
Every idea deserves
to be seen.

Good creative work starts before anything is made. Concept design is the stage where instincts become direction, where a brief gets turned into a defined visual language that a whole team can follow. I work at this early, exploratory stage as comfortably as I do in execution, and I think the two are inseparable. The concept is already the work.

A brand is more than a logo. It's a system of decisions: colour, type, imagery, voice,
that work together to create recognition and trust. The best brands feel inevitable
in hindsight, like they couldn't have looked any other way. I build identities that are coherent, distinctive, and built to last across every touchpoint.

Graphic design is where strategy becomes visible. Every layout, every hierarchy decision, every choice about what goes where: these are not decorative choices. They're communication decisions. The best graphic design carries a story inside it,
even when there are no words on the page. I bring the same rigour to a single-page
print piece as to a full campaign system. Design that looks like someone made a decision.

A brand doesn't stop at the screen. The same identity that lives in a logo or a website needs to work on a wall, a window, a floor. Physical spaces tell stories whether you plan them or not. I design the physical extension of brand: environmental graphics, wayfinding, office spaces, and retail materials that make the brand legible, consistent, and worth reading wherever people encounter it.

Merchandise is brand in three dimensions. A well-designed piece of merch carries a story: who made it, what they stand for, why it exists. That story is what makes the difference between something people keep and something that ends up in a drawer. I design branded objects that people actually want, rooted in the brand identity, built for the real world, and made with materials worth choosing. Ecology isn't an afterthought, it's part of the brief.

Packaging is where brand, product, and retail reality meet, and where most of the compromises happen. I've spent nearly a decade working with Fiskars, both in-house and as a long-term freelancer, designing product packaging and retail materials across their range. Further packaging work for Iittala and Arabia. I understand the constraints, the production realities, and how to make something that works on a shelf and looks like it means something.
